Il mese di dicembre 2023 è stato un periodo straordinario di celebrazione e connessione all’interno della nostra vibrante Community SIT! Abbiamo avuto il privilegio di organizzare due AperiSIT, uno a Torino il 14 dicembre e uno a Milano il 19 dicembre, esclusivamente dedicati ai nostri soci, socie, mentor e startup.

Questi eventi hanno rappresentato un’opportunità di incontro, permettendoci di condividere idee, progetti e creare legami ancora più solidi all’interno della nostra Community.

L’atmosfera era impregnata di entusiasmo, spirito collaborativo e voglia di crescere insieme. Siamo profondamente grati a tutt- coloro che hanno partecipato e contribuito a rendere questi momenti così significativi.

Empethy è la prima piattaforma digitale italiana che supporta le adozioni di cani e gatti abbandonati mettendo in contatto persone interessate ad adottare con associazioni di volontariato operanti su tutto il territorio nazionale.

Empethy è anche la prima piattaforma digitale dedicata al mondo delle adozioni di cani e gatti abbandonati che unisce l’impegno delle associazioni di volontariato per animali con quello di aziende virtuose interessate ad esercitare un impatto sul problema del randagismo in Italia.

Ogni anno, infatti, in Italia vengono abbandonati in media 80.000 gatti e 50.000 cani. Si tratta di numeri sconvolgenti che continuano a non diminuire nonostante l’abbandono di animali sia un reato punibile con l’arresto fino a un anno o con una multa fino a 10.000 euro. A questo problema se ne aggiunge un altro, ossia che le strutture predisposte per ospitare animali abbandonati possono ospitare solo il 10% del totale, affrontando costi di mantenimento che vanno oltre 100 milioni di euro l’anno.

Nel tentativo di arginare questo problema, Empethy ha creato un modello circolare virtuoso che connette aziende, rifugi e adottanti, promuovendo adozioni responsabili e migliorando il benessere degli animali.

La “Corporate Pet Responsibility” nasce infatti come risposta al diffuso problema del randagismo in Italia, riconoscendo il ruolo centrale delle aziende nella società e la necessità di un loro impegno per affrontare questa sfida sociale.

Squiseat è una piattaforma che consente di acquistare prodotti alimentari in eccedenza al 50% del loro prezzo di listino attraverso applicazione proprietaria, disponibile per iOS e Android. Gli utenti registrati possono utilizzare la geolocalizzazione per visualizzare, entro un raggio di 30 km, le attività affiliate e i prodotti disponibili, che si possono scegliere e acquistare direttamente tramite app e ritirare in loco.

Squiseat valorizza le eccedenze alimentari garantendo vantaggi sia per i clienti, che possono prenotare e acquistare cibo di alta qualità ad un prezzo scontato, che per le aziende alimentari affiliate, che hanno la possibilità di ridurre il rischio di perdite economiche e di pianificare con maggiore precisione e lungimiranza le proprie attività.

Un’eccedenza alimentare può essere un qualsiasi tipo di prodotto che risulti invenduto a fine giornata, e in quanto tale rischia di essere gettato via nonostante sia ancora in ottimo stato. Un servizio di questo tipo contribuisce a ridurre l’impatto ambientale grazie ad una riduzione delle emissioni di CO2 nell’atmosfera e innesca un circolo virtuoso, in quanto le risorse vengono utilizzate con maggiore consapevolezza.

Squiseat nasce a Bologna nel 2019 a seguito di una chiacchierata tra amici, Alberto Drusiani, Luca Morosini, Gabriele Calarota e Ossama Gana. I quattro founder, all’epoca studenti presso l’Università di Bologna, partecipano allo StartUp Day organizzato in collaborazione con Almacube, l’incubatore di start up e imprese dell’Università, presentando la loro idea per risolvere il problema dello spreco alimentare nella ristorazione, che viene selezionata tra le migliori trenta. Definito il modello di business della nascente azienda, i quattro founder avviano la propria attività su Bologna, città nella quale viene testato e validato il servizio; il progetto si concretizza prima in un gruppo WhatsApp e poi su Telegram, fino al lancio dell’app anti spreco proprietaria, che ad oggi conta una media di 10.000 download. Con l’obiettivo di espandersi nelle principali città italiane entro il 2023, l’azienda si prepara a diventare la prima realtà antispreco trasparente al 100%.

Il nuovo modo di giocare sostenibile   

www.clubdeigiocattoli.com è una piattaforma online che si rivolge alle famiglie con bambini da 0 a 12 anni che rientrano nella fascia ‘’premium’’ del mercato (fascia culturale e sociale medio /alta) e collabora con le aziende di giocattoli con la missione di avere un ruolo attivo nell’evoluzione dei consumi, in un’ottica di Sostenibilità, Sharing e Circular Economy. 

Club dei giocattoli si rivolge a genitori che desiderano proporre ai propri figli stimoli ed esperienze sempre diversi per accompagnarli nella crescita e stimolarne la fantasia, ma senza dover acquistare uno smisurato numero di giocattoli che si accumulano in cameretta, evitando inutili sprechi ed educando i bambini a un atteggiamento consapevole secondo i valori dello scambio, della condivisione e della cura degli oggetti. 

Il servizio dedicato a genitori e bambini dà loro la possibilità di provare i giocattoli e poi decidere se acquistarli o restituirli.  

Nella pratica i genitori possono ordinare i giochi online e terminato il periodo di noleggio (1 mese) possono decidere se restituire gratuitamente oppure acquistare uno o più giochi a un prezzo agevolato. I giochi restituiti vengono igienizzati e rimessi nuovamente in circolo.

For example, 75% of people in Kenya are unable to access eye care services. Even for those who can, many are faced with glasses costing almost a month’s income. The impact of this is enormous. Without glasses it is hard to live a quality and productive life. A student without glasses is 3x more likely to fall behind!

We at DOT Glasses manufacture and distribute an innovative technology that enables free eye testing and affordable eyeglasses to be distributed to any community around the world. This is done without subsidy and without relying on eye specialists, of which there are very few.

Our distributors are able to provide corrective eyeglasses in under 5 minutes for only 3-7 USD. The testing and assembly for each patient is done on-site within 5 minutes, without needing a vision care specialist.

Main Activities 

  • Telling the impact story through videos using testimonials, live action shots and other.
  • Utilising existing raw footage to produce content.
  • Capturing and producing video content for multiple uses.
